Avraveda is an interwoven spectrum of the healing components founder Sophia Avramides has utilized in her daily life to expose more and more of her health, vitality, and truth.
Her voyage with plants began as a teenager, in discovering the healing potential of cannabis - helping her treat chronic anxiety, mental illness and an autoimmune disorder.
In 2014, Sophia graduated with a degree in Health Psychology from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
She then continued her education by looking towards the East, enrolling in Kripalu’s School of Ayurveda. Sophia is now a practicing and NAMA-certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. She is also a Reiki Practitioner, and has studied various forms of energy-based medicine.
While she finds herself a forever student, one of Sophia’s favorite activities is teaching. She has led workshops on Ayurvedic philosophy, self-care practices, Ayurvedic cooking and cannabis medicine at various locations (check ‘Events’ for more details).
Her passion is driven by a mashup of Ayurvedic wisdom, evidence-based research, plant medicine, psychedelic experiences, natural remedies, energy healing, deep community connection and radical, genuine acceptance of who we are.
The offerings will always be expanding, as Sophia broadens her own understandings of the inner and outer workings of our bodies and interconnectivity with all around us.
